Nature, the most beautiful thing of the Earth has also been the most dangerous and cruel hunter ever. It has hunted the most dangerous animals like Dinosaurs, Megalodon sharks and will also hunt the humans in the future. Here we are going to know how the Dinosaurs were hunted and became extinct from the Earth.

It was the time ‘TRIASSIC’, 250 million years ago, when the largest reptile came into the Earth. They became more dominated in the ‘JURRASIC’ time (200- 145 m.y). That’s why Spilberg has named the famous movie ‘Jurrasic park’. Dinosaurs hunted down many other animals. So, not many other group of animals grew that time.

There were two types of dinosaurs ‘Theropods’ and ‘Sauropods’. The first group was very dangerous carnivorous and the second group was herbivorous. The Sauropods had large neck because they had to eat leaves from large trees. They are the largest continental animal lived in Earth. Fossils of 30- 32 meter sauropods have been discovered. The Therapods had super developed poisture, muscles, teeth and hunting skills. They even hunted down the large sauropods. After that many type of Dinosaurs came into the Earth.

THEROPOD AND SAUROPOD

Let’s come to the point how the dinosaurs became extinct. During the ‘CRETACEOUS’ i.e. about 65 million years ago a large meteorite of about 10 km diameter impacted on the Earth creating a crater of about 180 km which is known as the Chicxlub crater in Mexico. The whole environment was filled with poisonous gas, dust leaving a little chance to survive. It was the best reason which can describe the extinction of dinosaurs. Two more big events happened. The great landmass PANGEA started to break and many animals lost their own habitat to live. The environments changed and they failed to survive. In India the famous DECAN TRAP started to form by lava, which covers an area of 5 lakhs km2. Just think if you fell into a magma chamber, how can you survive. These were the cruel features of nature which did not even leave the Dinosaurs. we get many fossil remains of Dinosaurs in the regions of Narmada river basin, Madhya pradesh (Jabbalpur), some in Maharashtra in India.
